Da Balaia PORTUGAL

Our recent trip to Club Med Da Balia was fantastic the GOs were amazing from the moment we arrived. Matteo and Marcos at the front desk was attentive to our needs and all the others who were checking in and checking out as well as just your average questions like where the nearest ATM was; which is a 2 min walk down the road at the corner behind the gas station. The GOs at the archer Max. Maximo at the trapeze who helped my daughter during the doubles at 1630 showing her new tricks and Louisa who also helped as well... Both of them are outstanding. Elisa at the bar made amazing cocktails and is also a rock and metal music fan which just made her gain extra points because of her music interest. We also spent time at the Zen pool where Heirnette made some of the greatest smoothies. I would recommend the banana and coco. Overall this is why we continue to use ClubMed resorts. We have be to 3 clubmed resorts and they never disappointed with hospitality.

A lovely club but not recommended to people with mobility issues as there are too many stairs. My room and balcony on 4th floor was spacious and comfortable. The food was top notch, delicious and varied and the cakes and ice creams so tasty.
The only let down was the ice cold swimming pools. I can understand the zen one to be left alone but the main one near the bar should be heated. Overall, still a good experience.

The club med, remains one of the best all inclusive experiences when going with you children. The kids club activities at da Balaia have been phenomenal, the debate with the children was less about them going to the kids rather than when will we see you.
The rooms are modern and pleasing. The food is very good. Definitively would recommend anyone to try the a la carte restaurant as well. Even if you follow a healthy diet, there is so much variety that there are options to please anyone. The GOs are all on top of their game. Definitively would recommend it to anyone with children. If you are worried that it is French and that language would be an issue, there is none of that. Even for the children some of the GOs at the kids club mainly speak English rather than French.

Just wanted to highlight the attentiveness and care from the Mini Club team, especially Bárbara and Daniela. We were quite worried about how it would go with our son, as he’s not usually good with separation — but we can’t thank Bárbara and Daniela enough for the love and care they gave him. So gentle, so caring, and so much fun!
Their warmth, patience, and energy meant the world to us, and our little one truly adored them both. What started with tears in the morning quickly turned into him running back to Mini Club — even when it was closed! As parents, it was such a joy to see our child not only well looked after but also genuinely happy and excited each day. Bárbara and Daniela went above and beyond to make the experience special, and they are a big reason why our holiday was so memorable.
