Michès Playa Esmeralda REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

This was my 4th stay at Miches, from November 10th to 17th, and once again it was amazing. It’s truly the best 1h30 drive to paradise. This year we brought friends with us, and like every time, we left completely satisfied. We just love this resort – it’s the whole package.

The staff is incredible. We had two small issues in our room and Theo (who we later found out is the Chef du Village!) was right there in the lobby making sure everything was taken care of. The Animation team was fantastic as always, and I also love that the shows don’t end too late. Lorenzo and his team were amazing.

With Columbus being damaged by Melissa, we had the privilege of having two Animation Managers, so we also met Max. They worked together as a duo and really delivered great energy and shows. Mid-week, Theo had to leave for a work trip and Julie stepped in — she was wonderful as well, so natural, always smiling, and very present.

I wish I could remember everyone’s names because every single person made a difference. A big shout-out to the EMOTIONAL MARKER — that hand-over-the-heart gesture used by everyone from security to the gardeners. Being greeted like that all week truly added something special. Such a beautiful idea.

Thanks again for making our week so memorable. This is exactly why I already want to come back next year!

a just big enough resort with clean beach although small. food is tasty and staff very polite. spacious rooms with large terrasses.

the biggest asset of Club Med are the people. it always feels like family.
GOs are the best and most dedicated humans possible.

Great experience! Matthew at the Mini Club did an amazing job with my son, he did not want to leave him! Such a genuine and kind person, could not recommend enough. For family vacations, it is the place to go!

Staying at Club Med at the Miches location is fantastic..! Plenty to do provided by Club Med - activities start every hour, every day and all different. Plus, you can book excursions outside the resort to go on a Lobster cruise with snorkeling and/or a tour of a farm where you will find all the spices in your cabinet. On the same tour they take you to a cacao plantation for the full chocolate experience. Our thanks to Haby and Daniel to resolve some minor problems we had and Iara for taking care of us at the front desk - she was also our host on several events. We also thank Soledad for showing us around the resort as well and thanks to the GM - Theo..!

Our second visit to Club Med Miches was another 5-star. We wanted a “no thinking” vacation in the sun so we came back to Miches after visiting in March 2022.

I was so glad to see that the resort is still in great shape. Although I could spot some wear and tear, it was minimal considering.

The buffet was still great for our family. About 6 different specials rotate at every meal plus several things that are at every meal. Lots of great options at all three meals that satisfied everyone.

We stayed in a suite in “La Perla” which was quite nice. Lots of living space and comfy beds. We actually spent lots of time at the pool reserved for Perla residents. It was all families in the area so I wouldn’t recommend a suite in that area if you don’t have kids. Issa who worked the bar by the Perla pool was fantastic. My only complaint would be that we would hear the bar/party after midnight from our room. On our previous stay we were further from the bar and couldn’t hear it at all.

Kudos to Soledad from the GO team who connected with us over WhatsApp before our arrival. I had assumed that I was dealing with a bot but he quickly responded to a random request and then remembered me when we arrived. I used Whatsapp for a few small requests during the trip and it worked out great.

Activities were also great. Kids played lots of bocce. Multiple days of archery. We found another family to play pickleball with (they probably need to build more pickleball courts) and kids tried trapeze too. The kids also enjoyed the shows at night.
