Punta Cana REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA

Two things of note: 1) there was a fire in fall of 2024, and as a result there is construction at the center of the resort anticipated to run through fall 2025. 2) there is a relatively new water park on site. This was a big hit with the kids, but be aware that it is not near food nor a bar.

Our family of four stayed in two different rooms whilst we were at Club Med Punta Cana: a Family Suite Room (unrenovated) and a Family Suite Room Renovated. The un-renovated rooms have a curtain separating the children’s alcove from the main portion of the suite, whereas the renovated suites have real doors on the rooms (locking for the main room - this is why we requested the room switch).

The resort is very large, so if walking is an issue, be sure to request a building near the center of the resort. On the other hand, if noise is a worry (ie. From beachfront parties that go to 11pm), then a room further away would be a better choice.

The food ranged from fair to very good (as I think it often does at all inclusive resorts).

As always, there was plenty to do for both children and adults (archery was a big hit for my family).

All in all we had a great time and look forward to our next trip!

Our family just got home from our six-night stay at Club Med Punta Cana and we literally cannot stop talking about how much fun we all had. It was the perfect trip, no exaggeration. The G.O. Team at this resort is top-tier, they truly treated us like family and made us feel so valued. I want to give some special shoutouts…Meaghan (Meeting & Events Manager) for being so incredibly sweet to our daughters and always taking the time to chat with them and make them feel special, they absolutely could not get enough of her and delighted in talking to her every day, they even insisted upon making her farewell cards because they were going to miss her :) Leo and the rest of the Mini Club team were phenomenal, the dance performance they put on with the kids on our last night there was so adorable and well-done that it made me cry proud/happy tears! You can tell everyone in Mini Club really cares about the kids, they took the time to get to know my daughters by name and were always full of positive energy. I wish I could name them all but just know they’re all great!! My kids had a blast doing all the different activities on the resort (sailing, tennis, water park, trapeze, etc.) with all their new vacation buddies. Brundo and the circus GO team were awesome, they had a great sense of humor and helped my kids overcome their nervousness about trying the trapeze and by the end of our trip they were fearless! Jean-Baptiste and the bartenders at Indigo were so upbeat and churned out delicious cocktails. The roaming photographers took beautiful pictures of our family that we’ll treasure forever, I had to buy the whole photo package because I loved them all. My Ayurvedic massage with Delia at the spa was fantastic. Yoga and Aqua Yoga with Sophie and Julie was so peaceful and a great way to stay active on vacation. The ladies at the boutique who spent hours braiding and beading my daughters’ hair were so friendly and patient and the braids turned out beautifully!

As for the resort itself, we loved how there was always something to do, or you could make the choice to just relax by the beach or pools. Our room setup was great, we stayed in Ovando and the kids had their own entire separate bedroom, and there was TONS of closet space. Everything was really clean and the maintenance staff was always keeping things looking orderly around the property. It was a very peaceful, safe atmosphere, but with an upbeat/energetic/family-friendly party vibe. Lots of all-ages dance parties and fun activities, such as pool parties, cookouts, bounce houses, games/tournaments, theme nights, shows, etc. You could participate as much or as little as you wanted, no cliques or judgement here! If you need quiet adult time, the zen pool and spa areas are perfect for that. The food was delicious every day, and so much variety. Everyone on the dining team was super friendly and very accommodating to my child and husband with allergies. There is construction and renovation going on but it honestly didn’t disturb our stay at all, we didn’t hear any noise from it and I can’t wait to come back to see it when it’s all complete!

Thank you again Club Med Punta Cana for SUCH an amazing time, we were thrilled and will sing this resort’s praises to anyone who will listen!

Every staff member was AMAZING! There is EVERYTHING to do! The Village is beautiful even though it’s still under renovation/construction.
We came as a family - 3 generations, 7 people and each of us had a wonderful time.
The Chief de Village even took a photo with us on our celebratory evening and left us a special print as a gift!
I recommend this Club Med for everyone to enjoy.
Also we were there on a packed school vacation week and the club never seemed crowded.

Fantastic stay at Club Med ! As always it's out of this world...we had been worried about the construction work and actually it didn't bother us in the slightest so honestly don't let this put you off ! The scenery is just mesmerising, private beach, white sand, emerald and azure water. We love the zen pool, the bar staff Alina is just the best, so joyful and wonderful. She makes the best cocktails and fresh fruit smoothies 😋 we did steps classes with Melanie, she is fab. Loved the aqua yoga with Sophie, snorkeling too... The crazy signs on the beach singing allez, allez allez punta allez makes me so happy I can't even explain it. Im writing this review on our last day and my eyes are full of tears, joyful tears, from the memories we made, the fun and joy we experienced with my dad and daughter. She made amazing friends, spent the whole time with them at the mini club (thank you to Banane, you are awesome!! Thanks for looking after her so well) waterpark, trapeze, hanging out as she says...having dinner witg her friends(we barely so her!] , enjoying the shows. The independence she can enjoy here is so unique 😍 Club med is so safe, so friendly. The food is a real culinary experience, we ate so well! So much fish, ceviche, fresh fruits..so much staff to look after us, choice and quality of food...the hispaniola did feel a little crowded at dinner time and we did miss the more open and relaxed experience of samana but we did a la carte at indigo in the evening a few times and that was lovely. Really enjoyed all the shows on the beach...I'm so sad to leave but so grateful for my family and I to have experience the magic of Club med 💙 for another year...until next time Club med...thank you

My kids had a great time at the kids club. One of staff, "Banana", was especially great and even got my son to participate in the kids show on the final night, which I never would have expected from him. It was a really great experience!!!!!!!!!
