Villas Finolhu REPÚBLICA DAS MALDIVAS

A NESTLED PARADISE IN MALDIVES, A PURE GEM.
We had the honour to stay at the water villa and it was fantastic, all the amenities were so chic, the Resort is elegant and the F&B is spectacular with a lot of variety.
A butler follows you all day.

Beautiful tiny paradise island of white sandy powdery beaches. Our accommodation was excellent … the perfect place to escape. From modern life.
Snorkeling, scuba … incredible sea life. We saw turtles, little reef sharks and 100s of colourful fish and sea life.
The team ensured we were well looked after: Arwan was so attentive (in the best way) in the wonderful restaurant which sat over the shallows where we could watch the sea life beneath as you ate.
The brilliant sports team especially Iru, Mossey, Adam & Sammy kept us amused and made sure there were plenty of activities if we chose to do them including 2 snorkeling trips a day if you want it.
Perry, Roscio and the bar team saw far too much of us and boy do they make a mean margerita!
Nothing was too much trouble making sure we had an incredible 9 days.
If it gets too quiet it’s easy to hop on the free shuttle to the livelier family friendly island of Kani, 7minutes away.
The white parties and dinners on the beach were special as were the dinners on the beach. The work that goes into the preparation was incredible and the food was amazing all week.
The only downside is there was nowhere to get cash (not that you need it) but it would have been nice to tip the team because they really deserved it … we’ll be better prepared next time. A massive thank you to the whole Finolhu team

I and my wife visited for honeymoon to relax after a year of preparation for our wedding, and get overwhelmed by the luxurious experience.

At first we got to Finolhu, we were greeted by our butler Mateo. Although, we are mostly a self-help traveler, but we relaxed ourselves and let the butler arranged things, Mateo had been helpful and attentive to our requests during the stay. He also sent everyday schedule and promoted highlight activities on each day.

Every staff in the island is also friendly, they all greeted us with a simple hello or good morning. Although we Asians don’t usually greet (and smile) when we walk by others, but in this island, we got to open ourselves and greeted all the staffs as a return of friendly gesture.

Food and drinks, is what we’re most expected for. The Motu restaurant has exceptional food quality, the lunch and dinner menu changes every day! We’re lucky to have a Gala theme night on the first day of arrival, which is different than usual nights as the staffs dressed formally than an exotic uniform, and dishes are presented at the front door and introduced to us. In usual nights, they would let us choose from the menu. And don't worry, food and drinks (not just soda, but milkshakes and even some alchohol) are all-inclusive, so you can order more if you feel needed.

Activities are also all-inclusive mostly. We went to join snorkeling every morning, which will group with others and led by the watersports G.O. (Gentle Organizer, as named by Club Med, means the activities organizer) to take a resort ship to nearby reefs and go snorkeling there. We also went to kayaking in the afternoon just around the resort.

Speaking of the G.Os, they are fun, friendly and open to chat with. We chatted with G.O. Iru, and G.O. Adam at the day we’re leaving. They’re both Maldivians. Even we didn’t join a local tour, but by listening to them speaking about themselves and we knew more about the livelihood of the people in Maldives.

At last about our villa, we booked a Sunset Overwater Villa, which owned a marvelous view of the infinite ocean, and its quiet as the sea waves are calm, more silent than the Sunrise Villa. You also get complimentary soft drinks and snacks in room. We enjoyed our day at the private pool, and a little snorkeling just outside our villa. We also saw manta ray outside our villa!

Overall, this is a luxurious experience in the Club Med Finolhu, especially for honeymoon and couples to visit, even the villas can only fit one king bed! It’s over our expectation compared to just a hotel. I felt like a community in the island, and the everyday activities had also brought the travelers together to break ice. We’ll definitely come back to Club Med Finolhu in the future.

We had the most wonderful experience during our visit to Maldives. Everything at the resort was above our expectation and the staff felt like family without being intrusive. The food was excellent and the villas very comfortable. We will be back.

Outstanding stay at a true paradise in earth. The venue is amazing, service impeccable. Aldi, one of the most beautiful places on earth to practice or learn scuba diving (manta rays, turtles, sharks…)
