Palmiye TURQUIA

I have just completed a review on the prvious screen and have no intention of writing it out again here,

We just came back from Palmiye and are already planning our next family holiday there. We stayed at the Villagio, and the trip ticked all the boxes for us: the resort’s setting is beautiful, the facilities are very well maintained, and the food was excellent. The staff go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome, and the wide range of sports and activities allows you to be as active—or as relaxed—as you like. If you’re looking to unwind, the two adult-only pools offer the perfect escape.

Our teenage kids met others their age through the Teens Club and thoroughly enjoyed both the social side and the activities on offer.

A special mention goes to the team at the Sailing Club—we spent a great deal of time with them. Their warmth, camaraderie, and incredible helpfulness made our experience truly memorable. Thank you Team!

It’s a nice resort, but don’t expect the little touches that make other Club Med resorts the very best. Usual good food and activity programme, just a few small gripes:

No one from reception to welcome on arrival or help with luggage.

Management conspicuous by their absence - at other club meds the chief of village is very visible, checking on guests. You sometimes think there’s more than one of them! Not here. Feels like there’s much less connection with guests than normal.

Booking process for some activities and restaurants is very confusing. Requests for help are met with a shrug and an instruction to ‘go to the app’. A la carte restaurant choice limited and always fully booked.

If you are towards the later end of breakfast, many of the food choices run out and are not replenished.

So nothing major - we have been spoilt by other club meds being perfect! Resort very clean and well maintained and the GO team great and very friendly.

We have stayed at this hotel 5 times already. This is the best hotel for those who love sports. Everything was at the highest level, as always! There were great food, comfortable rooms and a lot of sports.

Many thanks from my family and me to the waiter Murat. Thank you for your job. He always quickly and efficiently solved all our problems. He helped to book a restaurant, book tables on the field.

I stayed second time during this summer in Palmiye. First stay was with my family and than I returned with my best friend to celebrate her birthday in late September.

As a big surprise came to me the change of waterskiing G.O. team during the same season. Although I really loved new team (Thomas and Aslan, thank you!), in June activity was much better organised. In September it was obvious that only 2 G.O. can’t organize all willing to try G.M. More than that I had serious concerns about safety (especially, beginners safety). Sometimes beginners were allowed to go even during big waves (which was hard for advanced) without any precautions or they were left without G.O. supervision from starting deck and other G.M.s were forced to correct/instruct them.
I think you just need more G.O.s there, may be someone more experienced and apply stricter rules (as it all was during 3 previous summers).

Reception team… as always :) you should definitely do something with them. This time I discovered that I should guess (somehow) that a special form for birthday celebration should be filled in. No one told me this when I said about my friend’s birthday and no communication I received when I mentioned that fact in booking a-la-cart restaurant.

However, there were much more positive moments and memories than negative ones.

I would like to thank all G.O’s for perfect holiday. And I would like to highlight specifically some of them.

Ferzen in September transferred to sailing team. Many thanks to his patience, I was awful on sailing till this September, he explained everything I think 100 times and finally I managed to do it on my own, without any problems. Basically he was the G.O. that explained me how to waterskii several summers ago. Combo!)

Coco, Arnaud and Titouan thank you for new tricks on flying trapeze!
