Turkoise TURCOS E CAICOS

Our 3rd time staying at this Club Med property. Very relaxing but a lot to do if you want more action. The food is excellent and the staff is very helpful.

Absolutely great week at Club Med, again. This is my 12th Club Med trip since 1979 (yes it ma old). It is my first trip to Turks but my three children have been here. I concur with all the review that rate the beach exceptionally beautiful. The ultra soft white sand and the clear blue water are nothing short of dreamy. You can walk the beach for miles. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well manicured. On this site there are complaints about the rooms. Our room was great, beautifully decorated, clean with a modern mattress and a great shower. House cleaning services was exceptional, we would return from breakfast and find our room immaculately clean and supplies (Sunny was our spectacular, friendly house cleaner). One must understand that Club Med provides great locations, outstanding cuisine, lots of activities, entertaining at a reasonable price. The first Club Meds provided tents as sleeping facilities. Who spends time in a room in Club Med anyway, we barely had time to sleep with all the activities and disco at night. A GREAT THANK YOU the Chef De Cuisine, Hector and his staff. The food was outstanding at all meals. We never had the same dishes at any meals. From Beef Wellington, Salmon Wellington, Eggs Benedict, Mussels (that were spectacular) we truly enjoyed every meal. There is nothing like Club Med bakery, a wide variety of freshly baked goods with every meal. The GO team was great, eager to please and very responsive. The shows were great specially from the trapeze team. The native staff is a lot more friendly than we are used to at other resorts, also very accommodating. All is all a beautiful experience that we will treasure for a long time, e are sad to be home and cannot waist to return.

Returned to Turks to practice trapeze with the excellent Circus Team. (Mason, Jacob, Elise, Morgan & Jake.) Spent time daily with the sailing GOs, a fun group of guys. (Raphael 1, Nathan, Loic, Eric, & Rafael 2.) Snorkelled with GOs Anne and Cam at shark reef. Took a variety of yoga classes with guest instructors. Best of all, my brother joined me on this trip. Good sibling time without tripping over one another. I do have a soft spot for Club Med.

This being our 2nd time to Turkoise, the first being in May 2024 we had something to compare with. The resort itself is much the same. Fantastic beach, Facilities are aged but functional and perfectly fine for us. The pool is well kept as it the grounds keeping. The activities are also well run. I do want to give a special shout out to Salma the current spa manager. She is a very nice and accommodating person. Friendly and very easy to speak with. The massage therapists are also very nice folks. They are professional and well trained. Thanks to Sarah, a fellow Canuck for a great 90 massage!
We've always found the food at the restaurant well prepared with a good variety to choose from. No complaints there.
As is typical with Club Med the staff turnover is great. There were very few people left from last years visit. With the exception of a couple talented trapeze artists, one of which is now also moving on there weren't many we recognized. Which wouldn't be an issue except there was definitely something lacking this year. The bar staff just didn't seem very interested or engaging. Some were better than others a mixing drinks, some strong mixes, some very weak. Jackson in particular just didn't seem to want to be there. Very curt and almost rude to some guests. We also noticed a big difference with the "crazy signs" party's after the shows. They take place at the main bar which doesn't have a lot of space to begin with but this year it was mostly taken over by staff, all with name tags meaning there was very little room or actual guests to participate. Last year it was the opposite. So it just didn't have the same vibe as it seemed more like a "staff party" that we were witnessing. Another problem this year over last was the amount of smoking, weed and vaping on the beach. I was actually surprised last year that people actually respected the fact that there are only a couple of designated smoking areas on the property and they stuck to those areas. This year it was tough to find a spot on the beach without the smell of weed or cigarettes, all being dropped in the sand when finished. The was disappointing and sad to see. I suppose we expected the same energy and fun we had in 2024 but just didn't find it this year due in large part to the difference of approach with the staff or the way the Chief of Village is running it. Either way we will give this resort a break and try something new next year. There are still plenty of positives with this resort.

If you get a chance to go, DO IT! This was a fantastic getaway in an English-speaking country that uses the US dollar for currency. Club Med is an adult-only resort, and it was great not to have to dodge children at the pool or any of the other facilities. All-inclusive food and drinks were also a perk. The weather was perfect, and the sun was just right.
