Kani REPÚBLICA DAS MALDIVAS

Beautiful place with superb staff. We had a wonderful family holiday with our 2 daughters (12&15 yrs) over 10 days.
We had interconnecting rooms which were very well equipped. The island is solely for Club Med guests and can be walked round in 30 mins. There are ample places to lie on the beach without feeling you're on top of one another. The only pool is on the small side and is a focal point for activities but it wasn't an inconvenience. Next to the pool there is a beach bar that serves drinks all day long, where we met Kawser who is so polite and attentive.
The main restaurant serves a good variety of food from different cuisines - all were very tasty and beautifully presented. Our thanks go to the staff in the restaurant, mainly to Mahen, Sumon, Mojbour and Enes who were so helpful, energetic, polite, attentive and kind. On our last day they surprised us with a beautifully presented fish dish which was so delicious and fresh.
The Discovery Team offers a good variety of excursions. Nooman is a great source of local knowledge and gave us an interesting incite into the history of the Maldives. We did the Male trip (1/2 day) which was an opportunity to experience local life with the expert knowledge of the local guide. The trip was rounded off by what was advertised as a 'shopping', which turned out to be a visit to a small souvenir shop, sadly.
Izikiel & Omar from the Pool & Waterfront were very friendly and often stopped to chat to us during our stay. We were impressed with the amount of training they have to go through to keep us all safe.
The GO team really work their socks off to keep the guests entertained and welcome. The evening entertainment where they all take part really shows they enjoy it and you also get a sense of their camaraderie. I think this demonstrates great teamwork led by Ragab (Chef de Village).
During my stay I had an unfortunate incident and injured my leg and immediately the team sprung into action. From nowhere suddenly a group of various GOs and the doctor appeared, all to help me out. They all looked after me very well, especially Ragab.
All that in summary is the reason why we continue to book Club Med holidays!

excellent resort, great staff, kids love it - needs a little attention to the rain & ants coming into the rooms. Fabulous beach and activities (club med bali and phuket are brilliant and better for this though with the theatre added especially for kids). look for the rooms closer to the main dining and on the beach.

Our stay at Club Med Kani was as wonderful as always, thanks to the exceptional team of GOs and staff. This was our sixth time at Kani and we’re always delighted to come here.
Jambe, Mojibar, Basak, Amjadh, Sumon, Mahamood who work for the restaurant did a great job together with the rest of the staff.
In the bars we were served by fantastic staff including Mr Ragap, Enes, Umut, Ripon, Yiğit, Sumon and Shaheen.
Nooman in the Water Sports center is great and he showed our son the best way to open a coconut.
We had great dives and dinner with our dive master, Thomas Toselli, and he helped our son with his diver certification.

Our first non European CM and we noticed a big step up in the level of service. The restaurant staff (particularly Shifuzaan) were so friendly, polite and efficient. Our son is coeliac and the sous chef took him to all the stations at meal times going through what he can eat and made him extra dishes.

We spent a lot of time at the beach bar, very cool. Great staff there too and DJ’s who played atmospheric tunes as the sun set.

Our superior rooms were perfect. Not at all run down as people report and whilst there was a bit of a walk to reach them it wasn’t a hardship strolling under palm trees along the beach!

Demi and Roman - future CDV’s. Demi is great fun, very knowledgeable about the resorts. CM need to hang on to her! Roman is the most patient sailing instructor and was really great chatting to my teenage sons.

Eurodivers are an incredibly professional outfit I highly recommend them if you want to scuba dive (Ana, Diego, Margaux).

Really fab holiday. I recommend a shoulder season break here. It wasn’t at capacity and we actually quite liked that as we usually peak ski or summer season in Europe The rain storms were exciting (look for the life jackets in your wardrobe!), the daily breeze kept temp down.

Top resort. Beautifully run. Very chilled yet good fun. Great work Club Med.
